A name known to all, lays known by all. William Shakespeare, the renowned poet, with a legacy as rich and diverse as his work, inspired a sensual range of eclectic full-bodied fragrances designed for both men and women. Like the perfumes, the language of the plays is wonderfully expressive and powerful. Each scent tells as much of a story as the words that brought them to life. Journeys are built and told through the layered notes, developing and evolving over time.

Shakespeare's Life

Shakespeare was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, with whom he had three children: Susanna, and twins Hamnet and Judith. Sometime between 1585 and 1592, he began a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part-owner of a playing company called the Lord Chamberlain's Men, later known as the King's Men. Written records give little indication of the way in which Shakespeare’s professional life moulded his artistry. All that can be deduced is that over the course of 20 years, Shakespeare wrote plays that capture the complete range of human emotion and conflict.
